There are Watershed protection organizations all over PA. Each one of them takes care of a specific watershed and often hosts events for volunteers to come and join them. They do an amazing job at keeping our waters clean and protected every day! Here is a link to the donation page for our favorite organization the Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association.

STAY INFORMED!

Governmental groups create policies and regulations regarding our creeks, rivers and lakes very often. Make sure that you are up to date on the latest news. You can do that by subscribing to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s newsletter.

VOTE!

Make sure you always remember to vote because every single vote counts. Voting can help us elect new officials who are more environmentally conscious and understand the harm we are doing to the earth. President Trump has put people like Andrew Wheeler, and formerly Scott Pruitt, in charge of the Environmental Protection Agency. These people do not believe in climate change and have been documented lobbying for fossil fuels and taking donations from those companies. Voting helps to make sure that we put environmentally conscious people in positions of power.
